Attend the June 7 IOMC 2018 Annual Meeting and Dinner
Join us at Loyola University Chicago on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 6 p.m. to celebrate the Institute of Medicine of Chicago (IOMC) fellowship and to set the course for upcoming years.

The keynote speaker for the event is Ms. Soma Stout, MD, MS and she is the Vice President at the Institute of Healthcare Improvement and is the Executive Lead of the 100 Million Healthier Lives Coalition.
In transforming healthcare, the IOMC frequently uses collaborative models to engage meeting attendees in creating a visual of what healthcare can be in the near future. This year’s meeting begins with a co-learning session at 6 p.m. in which community agency leaders will talk about the following:
- Social factors influencing health such as economic development;
- Mental health issues;
- Preventing gun violence; and
- Community health workers and their roles
At 7 p.m., keynote speaker, Ms. Soma Stout, MD, MA will share information about the Community Wellbeing Trust with IOMC, to improve cost equity, population health and quality of care.
Awards will also be presented:
- Russe Award: Babs Waldman, MD;
- Global Humanitarian Award: David Martin, CAE & Susan M. Walsh, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC;
- Innovations in Health Care/Health Care Delivery: Neli Vazquez-Rowland;
- Portes Foundation Meritorious Award: Leslie J. Sandlow, MD.
Following the awards celebration the IOMC members and guests will induct new IOMC Fellows.
