MICHAEL V. FAVIA RE-ELECTED TO ILLINOIS STATE BAR ASSOCIATION ASSEMBLY
Health Law and Litigation Attorney, Michael V. Favia is Re-elected to The Illinois State Bar Association Assembly and Will Attend the Annual Meeting in June
CHICAGO – Health law and litigation attorney, Michael V. Favia, was recently re-elected to the Illinois State Bar Association (“ISBA”) Assembly who meet annually. This year is the 138th Annual Meeting and leadership retreat. During the weekend retreat in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Assembly members review the accomplishments of ISBA committees and councils and meet to outline their initiatives for the coming year.
At the Annual Meeting the ISBA Assembly members attend morning programs and receive mandatory continuing legal education credits. On Friday, senior lawyers will present on opportunities for young lawyers to assist in the transition strategies of transitioning out of law practice as senior lawyers retire from practice. Later in the evening are the Annual Dinner and President’s Installation and Reception. This year the Assembly honors President Paula H. Holderman and welcomes Richard D. Felice, president-elect for 2014-15.
On Saturday, women attorneys and judges meet to network at a breakfast sponsored by the ISBA Standing Committees on Racial and Ethnic Minorities and the Law and Women and the Law, and Southern Illinois University School of Law. Saturday morning’s schedule also includes the main ISBA Assembly Meeting of the 203 Assembly policymaking members including Michael V. Favia.
The ISBA Assembly is the supreme policy making body of the ISBA. Assembly members are lawyers elected from the Illinois judicial circuits. There Assembly also has law student members from affiliated law schools.
